Patient Care Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Supervisor to join our team at Fairview Southdale Hospital. As a Patient Care Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading our dynamic and fast-paced Care Suites and CV/EP Lab Unit. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Manager/Director with department operations, including supervision of personnel and projects as delegated.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Manager/Director to supervise day-to-day or shift-to-shift operations to ensure support of the mission, vision, values, and goals of the organization.
- Assist the Manager/Director to plan, lead, coordinate, and evaluate patient care activities, including staffing, resource management, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, and financial management.
- Prioritize assignments to assure timely, productive, and efficient use of resources.
- Collaborate with Nursing, Provider leadership, and other team members to implement and evaluate standards of practice.
- Collect and analyze quality data and apply process improvement methodology to ensure delivery of safe and quality patient care.
- Assist with department change and act as a change agent in system change, procedure change, and process changes.
- Demonstrate skills/abilities in provision of patient care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing. If Master's degree is in nursing or healthcare, Bachelor's degree in other area of study will be accepted.
- Two years nursing experience, at least one of which in a formal or informal (charge, lead, preceptor) leadership role. Knowledge of patient population served in area of responsibility.
- Licensed Registered Nurse. Ability to obtain Minnesota nursing license at time of hire.
- BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in nursing, health care administration, business administration, or related field.
- 2+ years cardiac experience.
- Critical Care Experience.
- Cath Lab experience.
- ANCC or AONL Certification.
