We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Services Coordinator to join our team at Contra Costa Community College District. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading in the preparation, scheduling, and serving of food in the cafeteria and other locations on campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate food preparation, setup, and serving operations
  • Coordinate and participate in cleaning and sanitizing food preparation and serving tools and equipment
  • Maintain accurate cash balances, operate cash registers, and deposit cash in safe
  • Order and control inventory of specialty items, requisition supplies and merchandise
  • Ensure equipment is operating properly and food quality meets standards
  • Establish and maintain records, logs, and food service reports
  • Maintain time records of assigned staff
  • Maintain security of kitchens
  • Conduct monthly inventory audits
  • Prepare and maintain department budget records
Requirements
  • Three years of experience in preparing and serving large quantities of food with one year of lead experience in a food services program
  • Possession of high school diploma/GED or equivalent and college-level coursework in culinary arts, nutrition, food preparation, business management, or closely related subjects
  • Possession of a Food Safety Certificate
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in catering
  • Experience in administrative tasks
