Support Clinician for Individuals with Disabilities

Are you passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities and providing clinical guidance to staff? We are seeking a highly motivated Support Clinician to join our team at YAI. This is an entry-level clinician position that offers the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in a residential group home setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, creativity, and previous experience working with people with disabilities. You will be responsible for providing direct support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, as well as training and supervision of staff members. Working closely with the program Behavior Intervention Specialist, you will develop your clinical skills and provide daily counseling to help individuals achieve person-centered goals and maintain healthy relationships.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on location and experience. The work schedule is Sunday-Thursday, 2:30pm-10:30pm.

Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Fluency in American Sign Language
  • A valid Driver License
  • Work or life experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred
  • The ability to complete paid NYS Mandated OPWDD initial training during normal business hours
  • A Tuberculosis test is mandatory
