Job Summary:
The Healthcare Support Specialist works closely with medical professionals to provide high-quality patient care, ensuring the personal needs and comforts of patients are met under the direction of a physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care, performing specific services to support the healthcare team.
- Understands the needs of the practice and supports the mission and values of WakeMed.
- Works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Assists with administrative tasks, ensuring seamless communication and coordination within the healthcare team.
Requirements:
- 2 Years Clinical Experience as a Medical Assistant (Preferred)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant (Required within 24 Months of Hire)
Work Schedule:
Variable hours, Monday through Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm
Weekend and Call Requirements:
As needed
