- Registers demographic and insurance information into our computer system with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring seamless communication with our billing and insurance teams.
- Schedules appointments and manages patient flow to minimize wait times and maximize productivity.
- Performs various administrative tasks, including coding, typing, copying, faxing, and transcription, to support the smooth operation of our medical office.
Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent with a strong foundation in mathematics and language arts.
- One (1) year of clerical work experience in a medical office setting, with a focus on customer service and administrative support.
- Medical terminology and coding skills preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Working Conditions:
- May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases, occasional exposure to unpleasant patient elements, contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances, may be exposed to patient elements, exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries and illness), subject to varying and unpredictable situations, handles emergency or crisis situations, subject to many interruptions, occasionally subjected to irregular hours, occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries, handles absentee replacement on short notice, may be exposed to toxic chemicals due to photocopier, flexibility in scheduled working hours/days to meet needs of unit.
