Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Net Patient Service Revenue Financial Analyst to join our team at Emory Healthcare. This role will play a critical part in analyzing and reporting on net patient service revenue, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing insights to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and report on net patient service revenue, including identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain expertise on state, federal, and organizational regulations and guidelines related to net patient service revenue.
  • Collaborate with external and internal auditors to interpret schedules and resolve discrepancies.
  • Make recommendations to improve efficiency of reporting practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support analysis involving new business initiatives and models net patient service revenue impacts.
  • Develop and implement procedures consistent with established policies and ensure compliance.
  • Review, revise, and communicate guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Analyze current policies and procedures and assess their effectiveness.
  • Manage special projects, including coordinating the preparation of special impact studies and other financial surveys and questionnaires.
  • Work with manager to formulate plan for professional development and attend educational in-services as appropriate.
  • Participate in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.
  • Prepare and analyze statistical reports, financial statements, and supporting schedules for management.
  • Prepare reports on actual and budgeted financial information and work with management to develop assumptions and historical costs.
  • Project impact of new programs or projects and analyze variances on returns.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the activity of programs.
  • Identify, develop, and implement methods for improving reporting efficiency and identify requirements and develop reports required by state and federal agencies.
  • Coordinate third-party reporting requirements and maintain compliance with all regulations.
Requirements
  • 4 years related experience required, preferably in healthcare with a MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Preferred qualifications: Knowledge and experience with Epic, Stratajazz, PeopleSoft, SQL, Power BI, EPSI, and Kodiak (RCA).
Education
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or technology-related field.
