Job Overview:
The Speech Language Pathologist is tasked with the planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of high-quality speech therapy services for residents, adhering to regulatory standards and established rehabilitation protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct care to residents based on physician-ordered evaluations and treatments, following established rehabilitation procedures.
- Conduct consultations, evaluations, and assessments of residents as required.
- Execute individualized treatment plans effectively.
- Engage in collaborative patient/resident care planning with interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide education and consultation to patients/residents and their families.
- Communicate resident status and needs to families, staff, and other healthcare professionals during care conferences.
- Refer residents to other specialists as necessary.
- Contribute to discharge planning efforts.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with practice standards and regulatory agencies.
- Complete required documentation in accordance with rehabilitation best practices.
Qualifications:
Education: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
