Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity

At Presbyterian Homes & Services, we are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives and touching the hearts of older adults. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality care and services, and we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to residents with physician-ordered evaluations and treatments.
  • Consult, evaluate, and assess residents as needed.
  • Implement treatment plans and participate in patient/resident care planning with the team.
  • Provide patient/resident and family education/consultation.
  • Communicate resident status and needs to the patient/resident, their family, staff, and other professionals.
  • Refer to other professionals as appropriate and participate in discharge planning processes.
  • Maintain records by practice standards, third-party payers, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Program with a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current licensure in the state of practice as required and current "Certificate of Clinical Competence" from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association or currently completing a "Clinical Fellowship Year" with a Certified supervising Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Competence in Speech Language and swallowing evaluation and treatment.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
