Unit Manager LPN/RN Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and personable Unit Manager with LONG-TERM CARE EXPERIENCE to join our team at Prolific Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate nurse and medical staff performance to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain and restore the health of patients by managing daily treatment schedules and enforcing health and safety regulations.
  • Solve staffing issues and shortages by effectively managing staff and resources.
  • Evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on patient condition to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure the unit meets federal, state, and company guidelines by completing admission and discharge forms and delivering hands-on care and medication administration as needed.
  • Communicate procedural issues with the director and work to correct them to maintain a smooth operation.
  • Act as a liaison between patients' families and healthcare staff to provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
  • 1-YEAR+ experience as a Unit Manager
  • 3-YEARS+ experience in LONG-TERM CARE
  • PCC EXPERIENCE with ability to build rapport with RESIDENTS, FACILITY STAFF, AND FAMILIES
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
