We are currently in search of a Civil/Transportation Engineer with approximately 6-10 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of engineering services within a collaborative environment, offering professional engineering solutions for highway and roadway enhancements, site development, erosion control, and stormwater management.
The role demands adaptability in a fast-paced setting with multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities. Candidates should exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, alongside excellent interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration in diverse team settings. A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing preliminary and final design plans across various jurisdictions
- Utilizing CADD software for contract drawing creation, specifically Microstation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Producing visual aids for client presentations and meetings
- Conducting calculations and analyses using spreadsheet software
- Performing hydraulic assessments for erosion control and stormwater design
- Estimating construction costs
- Interpreting agency standard drawings and specifications
- Generating technical reports and specifications
- Preparing documentation for necessary permits
- Ensuring quality control on deliverables from team members
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required, with a Master's degree being advantageous. Professional Engineering registration is necessary or the ability to obtain it is expected.
Experience Requirements:
Six to ten years of civil engineering experience, particularly in the areas of highways and roadway design, is essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is required, along with experience in MicroStation/Inroads for 3D design.
