Role Summary
As a Behavior Technician Specialist, you will play a crucial role in executing behavior intervention plans for individuals with unique needs and behavioral challenges. Your work will involve direct, one-on-one interactions with clients in various environments, including home, educational, and community settings, as determined by caregivers and the supervising behavior analyst (BCBA). You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing supervision from your case supervisor to ensure effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention strategies aimed at reducing challenging behaviors (e.g., non-compliance, aggression, self-injury, elopement) and promoting the development of essential social and adaptive skills.
- Participate in formal training sessions to gain proficiency in delivering interventions and collecting behavioral data.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with special needs or children is preferred, along with a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Completion of a 40-hour RBT training course and passing the RBT exam are required for certification. The Behavior Doc LLC will facilitate access to necessary training and cover exam costs for eligible candidates.
- Minimum education requirement includes a GED or high school diploma; a Bachelor's degree is highly desirable.
- CPR certification is required, or candidates must be willing to obtain certification upon hire.
