Job Summary:

The Medication Technician assists with prescribed medications and treatments, as defined by state regulations, to residents and maintains related work records under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisor. This position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the constant interaction with residents and families to guarantee their satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with prescribed medications and treatments to residents
  • Maintain related work records under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisor
  • Act as a Resident Caregiver, assisting residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident service plan
  • Provide personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs to residents
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be certified, as required, by state regulations
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly required
  • Previous experience working with dementia preferred
