Job Summary

The Construction/Maintenance Planner Associate will serve as a liaison with customers, coordinating resources for construction/maintenance projects, ensuring correct materials, equipment, and manpower are provided for project completion. This role will assist with the design of projects, scheduling, and the close-out of work orders. The successful candidate will develop work packages for assigned areas, planning and coordinating labor, material, and other resources necessary to complete the work in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as liaison with customers (internal/external) on various projects to ensure customer requirements and expectations are accurately understood and met in a timely manner.
  2. Coordinate resources for construction projects to ensure fully staffed crews are always available. May work with more experienced Planners in the coordination of resources for larger-scale or more technically complex projects.
  3. Analyze equipment subject to work order for scheduled maintenance and/or project and order materials from stock, ensuring materials are available to the crew for scheduled work.
  4. Develop specific work plans to address issues, ensuring quality and attention to detail result in a complete and executable work package to help ensure the continued operation of equipment and systems critical to our business.
  5. Perform design duties for simple, smaller-scale construction/maintenance projects and provide cost estimates for time and materials.
  6. Resolve differences by encouraging and practicing open communication and accurate interpretation of company policies and labor agreements.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or an equivalent discipline, or an Associate's degree in a related discipline with one year of combined experience in construction management, project management, engineering (design), or utility-related operations and maintenance. A valid Arizona driver's license is also required.

Working Conditions

This position requires employees to work at the Flagstaff, AZ location, with some flexibility. Flexibility will be determined with the hire's employee and leadership, but the ultimate decision is the company's.
