Position Summary:


The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all visitors during their stay. This position is focused on maximizing guest satisfaction while optimizing room revenue and occupancy rates.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding local attractions, dining options, and transportation services.
  • Adhere to all financial handling and credit policies.
  • Stay informed about current rates, packages, and promotional offers.
  • Maintain familiarity with in-house events and groups.
  • Understand and manage closed-out and restricted dates effectively.
  • Gather necessary information for room reservations and follow established rate-quoting procedures.
  • Possess knowledge of hospitality terminology.
  • Be prepared for emergency situations and assist as required.
  • Facilitate check-ins and checkouts in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Utilize proper communication etiquette when interacting with team members.
  • Comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk management system.
  • Complete all tasks outlined in the shift checklist promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct bucket checks, room rate verifications, and housekeeping reports.
  • Prepare and balance individual paperwork for shift closure in accordance with company standards.
  • Promote and maintain guest programs and special offers.
  • Ensure a tidy and organized work environment.
  • Assist guests with safe deposit box services.

Qualifications:
  • Relevant college coursework is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in computer systems is necessary.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Maintain a warm and approachable demeanor at all times.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and team members.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and address concerns raised by guests and colleagues.
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all interactions with guests and staff in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Regular attendance in compliance with company standards is expected.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and identification.
  • Adhere to company policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
  • Identify and address productivity challenges and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Effectively handle problems, including anticipating and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex information from various sources to achieve objectives.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other hotel-related areas as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Demonstrate initiative by anticipating guest and operational needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Flexibility to work both morning and evening shifts is required.
