Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: A minimum of two years in customer service is required; experience in a medical office is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain it within the first 90 days of employment.

Knowledge:

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems (experience with Athena is a plus).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Understanding of customer service principles and techniques.

Skills:

  • Exceptional telephone etiquette and customer service abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, and helpfulness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and leadership.

Abilities:

  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on customer service and administrative tasks.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and assist others.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and calmly with patients and families in various situations.
  • Analytical skills to assess situations and respond appropriately.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Work Environment: This role is set in a medical office environment, with potential exposure to communicable diseases and other clinical conditions.

Mental/Physical Requirements: The position involves a variety of physical activities, including walking, standing, sitting, bending, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The role requires managing a fast-paced patient flow and related stressors.
