Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating all functions within the unit/department during their designated shift.
In collaboration with other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Participate in ongoing assessments of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other management team members.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service delivery.
- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.- Support facility efforts to enhance engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
- Provide recommendations regarding the interviewing, selection, and training of new staff.
- Recommend and implement actions related to training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to ensure a competitive organization.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree.
