Role Summary and RequirementsThe Coordinator of Respiratory Therapy is an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating leadership skills and expertise in managing patients across all age groups. This role necessitates a broad understanding of respiratory operations, including record management, task delegation, staff evaluations, and ongoing education initiatives. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for fostering collaborative relationships across departments.
- Act as a role model in adhering to hospital policies and maintaining professional standards.
- Evaluate and oversee services to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Serve as a resource for staff and physicians regarding respiratory care inquiries.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification required within 30 days of employment.
- PALS certification required within 30 days of employment.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
- Associate Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous supervisory or charge experience is strongly preferred.
