POSITION: TEST SPECIALIST
Department: Manufacturing - Testing
Reporting To: Relevant Department Heads and Supervisors
Role Summary: The Test Specialist is tasked with ensuring that MECA Electronics, Inc. products meet established specifications. This is accomplished through rigorous electrical testing and thorough visual inspections of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calibrate RF testing equipment necessary for operations.
- Conduct RF measurements as dictated by product specifications.
- Perform visual inspections to confirm adherence to Company Quality Assurance standards.
- Regularly communicate product performance status to the Assembly/Test Manufacturing Supervisor and Engineering Department.
- Provide recommendations for product enhancements to the Assembly/Test Manufacturing Supervisor and Engineering team.
- Assist in the assembly and fabrication of products as needed.
- Execute technical tasks under moderate supervision.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assembly/Test Manufacturing Supervisor.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- This position is restricted to United States citizens only.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
- Ability to comprehend both technical and non-technical documents.
- Skilled in calibrating and operating RF testing equipment within the frequency range of Hz to 50GHz.
- Capable of interpreting test data and graphical representations.
- Able to perform technical duties with moderate supervision.
- Competent in using small hand tools and devices requiring physical dexterity.
- Ability to lift and arrange test equipment (up to 30 lbs) as necessary.
- Possess cross-functional skills essential for fulfilling all assigned duties.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in light to medium paperwork.
- Computer literate with the ability to maintain and utilize Excel-based spreadsheets.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- Technical certification in electrical engineering from an accredited institution is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:
- Preferred one year of technical experience in RF passive component testing.
