Job Summary:

A Clinical Allergy Specialist plays a vital role in managing the day-to-day operations of the United Allergy Services allergy center. This includes administering allergy tests, educating patients on allergen immunotherapy, and providing patient-centered care to those suffering from allergies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of allergens, the allergic response, and UAS clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of allergens and immunotherapy.
  • Administer safe and effective immunotherapy processes, including allergy testing and formulation preparation.
  • Educate patients on administering injections and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate records.
  • Handle and submit billing documentation through EMR systems.
  • Maintain clinic inventory levels and ensure timely ordering and receipt.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with providers and medical staff.
  • Escalate patient or other questions to the appropriate team member or provider.
  • Meet strategic goals and objectives related to clinic productivity and revenue.
Job Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of full-time equivalent work experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Nursing or other medical technician certification(s) as required by state or local regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure suitable results.
  • Computer experience required.
