4. Process transactions accurately, including issuing receipts, refunds, and changes.

5. Ensure that purchased items are packed properly for customers at checkout.

6. Engage with customers in a friendly and positive manner.

7. Report any discrepancies to the head cashier or management.

8. Complete tasks assigned by management or the head cashier.

9. Encourage customers to enroll in Family Farm and Home programs, such as loyalty initiatives and financing options.

10. Answer phone inquiries professionally.

11. Uphold merchandising standards and maintain store cleanliness and safety.

12. Assist with end-of-day store closing responsibilities.

13. Foster a positive work environment for all team members.

14. Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

Lead Cash Register Operator Responsibilities:

In addition to standard cashier duties, the Lead Cash Register Operator will:

1. Participate in the recruitment and training of new cashiers.

2. Supervise and guide cashiers in their daily tasks.

3. Maintain accurate cash control logs and reconcile cash drawers.

4. Ensure compliance with corporate cashiering audits.

5. Keep the cash office and register areas clean and organized.

6. Communicate any unresolved cash discrepancies to management.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for the Senior Cash Register Operator position should be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential. Candidates must be comfortable using basic computer systems and able to stand for extended periods, as well as perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50lbs.
