Job Overview
As an Industrial Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the overall administration, leadership, and technical direction of Interior projects. This includes managing bid requests, reviewing bids, developing subcontracts, and directing leads for estimating and take offs. You will also handle all project buyout within designated time frames, review project submittals for conformance to contract documents from subcontractors, and direct RFI's and Submittal's requested by the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Administration: Overall project administration, leadership, and technical direction of Interior projects.
  • Bid Management: Manage bid requests, review bids, develop subcontracts.
  • Estimating and Take Offs: Direct lead for estimating and take offs.
  • Project Buyout: Handle all project buyout within designated time frame.
  • Submittal Review: Review project submittals for conformance to contract documents from subcontractors.
  • RFI and Submittal Direction: Direction of all RFI's requested and direction of all Submittal's requested.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain site logistics plan, manage special Inspection Schedules, and work directly with Architects, Engineers, and Municipalities to ensure plans are designed per owner specifications and value engineered.
  • Daily Reports and Safety Inspections: Review Daily Reports and Safety Inspections from onsite Superintendents.
  • Project Meetings: Organize, attend, participate, and lead project meetings, including subcontractor meetings involving pre-construction, scope of work, scheduling, safety, etc.
  • Vendor Relationship Building: Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.).
  • Multitasking: Managing and multitasking multiple projects at a time.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and understand blue prints, CAD files as well as Municipality code and requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience building light industrial construction.
  • OSHA Certification: OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Ground Up Experience: Ground up experience is required, including warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, cold storage, and food processing facilities.
  • Educational Background: Technical degree level education in construction or related field.
  • Work Experience: 5+ years of experience working in the construction industry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Stable Work Record: Stable work record required.
  • Knowledge in Construction Management: Knowledge in Construction Management or related field required.
