Surgical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)/Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the SICU/CVICU, monitoring their health and implementing patient care plans as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments, maintaining accurate patient records and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, ensuring a smooth transition to the next level of care.
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One-year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to licensed military RN experience.
- Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
This role requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. You will also need to stand and walk for extended periods, with corrected vision and hearing to normal range. You will work under stressful conditions and irregular hours, with exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
This position is classified as Medium Work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
