Position Overview:

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Financial Analyst to become a vital part of our organization. This role is crucial in evaluating and presenting financial data, collaborating with diverse business units to deliver thorough financial decision-making support. The ideal candidate will be involved in strategic and general financial assessments, which include aiding growth strategies, performing forward-looking trend analyses, managing infrastructure initiatives, and assessing investments through cost-benefit and ROI evaluations. Furthermore, this position entails working alongside business partners to analyze financial outcomes, provide variance insights, reforecast items, and assist in the budget planning process. The role also includes the preparation and presentation of financial reports, such as monthly executive summaries, board presentations, budget overviews, and sales & asset reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the reporting, analysis, and monitoring of financial data for Business Technology Services (BTS), including ROI assessments and oversight of significant capital projects.
  • Engage with business partners in customer divisions to offer budget management assistance and create financial models for various initiatives.
  • Conduct various ad hoc financial analyses as necessary to support organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • ​​​​​Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant finance experience is preferred, ideally within the Financial Services sector.
  • Experience collaborating with software development teams is beneficial.
  • Proficient computer and Excel skills are essential, along with a strong command of PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Access, Business Objects, and/or SRC Budgeting is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
  • Technical proficiency with a solid grasp of corporate finance principles.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in financial modeling.
  • Ability to effectively engage with business partners and management across all levels.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and initiative.
  • Ability to distill complex factors into clear, decision-supporting analyses.
