Position Overview:
The Vice President of Cloud Operations will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Operations. This role is pivotal in leading and managing our Compute/Cloud Managed Services Provider.

In this capacity, you will oversee all operational aspects of cloud and on-premises computing, including infrastructure, storage and backup solutions, database management, ETL processing, and network support.

As a prominent leader, you will be expected to communicate and collaborate effectively with various IT and business stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:
Your primary duties will include:

  • Ensuring 24x7x365 hybrid cloud operations for high availability.
  • Designing the service delivery approach for cloud operations and recommending appropriate tools.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of our cloud strategy while driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Supporting the execution of data center and cloud projects, ensuring alignment with operational support objectives and best practices.
  • Actively participating in all cross-functional Cloud Architecture and Engineering team events.
  • Monitoring and optimizing the performance and availability of both on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Managing and optimizing costs and utilization of our data center and cloud resources using tools such as Azure Cost Management and CloudHealth.
  • Evaluating and recommending new technologies and solutions to enhance data center and cloud capabilities.
  • Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of our services.
  • Ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements by implementing appropriate controls.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation, policies, and procedures for our operations.
  • Fostering a healthy, diverse, and inclusive team culture aligned with our core values.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing data center and cloud management.
  • A minimum of 3 years managing and building a cloud support organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure/AWS cloud services, networking, shared storage concepts, and security best practices.
  • A solid understanding of cloud architectures, standards, and security protocols.
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management, including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Asset, Configuration, and performance metrics.

  • Experience in financial planning for projects and budget management.

  • Experience working with remote and offshore teams.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $134,280 to $201,420 per year. Actual base salary will vary based on factors such as relevant skills, prior experience, education, and geographic location.
