Position Overview

At Samsung, we are looking for a highly skilled GPU Top RTL Integration Lead to join our growing team at the Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and Advanced Computing Lab (ACL). As a key member of our GPU RTL team, you will be responsible for leading various aspects of GPU Top RTL/Design and Integration.

Responsibilities

As a GPU Top RTL Integration Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving front-end design quality checks (Lint, CDC, Logical Equivalence) and presenting high-quality RTL to the physical design/SOC team.
  • Owning RTL partitioning with feedback from the Physical Design team.
  • Managing RTL database/Memory/Hard macro/standard cell library management.
  • Performing block-level synthesis and monitoring/reporting area/block timing metrics.
  • Collaborating closely with other engineers from the RTL Block Design, CAD, Power, DV, HW emulation, and Physical Design teams.
  • Leading a small team of engineers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or 13+ years of experience with a Master's Degree, or 11+ years of experience with a PhD.
  • 10+ years of experience in GPU/CPU/SOC RTL Integration.
  • In-depth understanding of front-end ASIC design flow.
  • Expertise in RTL coding using Verilog/System Verilog.
  • Detailed understanding of synthesis tools, timing analysis, floor planning, and PNR flow.
  • Strong proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, and TCL.
  • Experience with ECOs is a plus.
  • Experience leading or managing a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work across various teams.
