Job Summary

As a key member of our clinical team, the Nurse Care Coordinator will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and assisting with daily operations. This includes coordinating patient care and outcomes, allocating resources, communicating with patients and staff, and participating in performance improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the manager in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and service administration.
  • Assist with the selection, supervision, and development of nursing personnel.
  • Collaborate with the manager to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Round on patients, staff, and physicians to gain insight into patient care and department operations.
  • Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers.
  • Assist in identifying expected outcomes and evaluating progress towards goal attainment.
  • Perform nursing care, assist with treatments, and administer medications as necessary.
  • Coordinate patient flow and staffing through continuous assessment of volume and acuity needs.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
  • Minimum two years of nursing experience preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • BSN required.
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association.
  • Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) is required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam.
