About the Role

Columbia Sportswear is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to the overall success of our retail stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and assist with buying decisions to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Product Knowledge: Acquire and maintain knowledge of our products, including features, benefits, and availability, to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Visual Merchandising: Maintain store appearance, including visual displays and product placement, to create an engaging and inviting shopping environment.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with receiving and processing incoming and outgoing products, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Process sales transactions, handle returns and exchanges, and maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency at the POS.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years or less of experience in a retail or customer-facing role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic math skills.
  • Availability: Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
