Job Summary

Child and Family Service is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist II to coordinate all aspects of a youth's intake, including accepting and responding to referrals, ensuring all consents are signed, and all required documents received. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or a related field and a minimum of 1-4 years of clinically supervised progressive work experience in the care and treatment of young individuals in a mental health or educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of a youth's intake, including accepting and responding to referrals, ensuring all consents are signed, and all required documents received.
  • Provide assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions according to treatment plan.
  • Utilize a broad variety of culturally sensitive diagnostic and treatment modalities and techniques appropriately and selectively.
  • Coordinate and implement the youth's treatment plan related to social and independent living skills.
  • Provide family counseling as needed and work with family members to ensure successful transition to the next level of care.
Requirements
  • Masters' Degree in social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1-4 years of clinically supervised progressive work experience in the care and treatment of young individuals in a mental health or educational setting.
  • Good verbal and written skills in therapeutic assessment and treatment, interviewing, recording, and letter writing.
  • Ability to assess family dynamics, strengths, and weaknesses to appropriately match a participant with a potential home.
