Company Overview: Auriga Space is at the forefront of developing a revolutionary electromagnetic launch system that significantly enhances launch cost efficiency, reliability, frequency, and responsiveness compared to traditional methods. Our unique approach utilizes electricity to propel the launch vehicle to hypervelocity, moving beyond conventional chemical propulsion.
Position Overview: We are seeking a mechanical or aerospace engineer (or equivalent) to contribute to our hardware initiatives throughout their entire lifecycle. This includes phases such as requirements generation, conceptual design, detailed engineering, manufacturing processes, and final testing and commissioning. The successful candidate will excel in a dynamic start-up atmosphere and will be eager to collaborate with a small, high-performing, and hands-on team.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related discipline
- A minimum of 2 years of practical engineering experience (including internships, laboratory work, or personal/team projects)
- Solid understanding of design principles
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software
- Adaptability to a hands-on, rapidly changing environment
- Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of relevant engineering experience (including internships, laboratory work, or personal/team projects)

- In accordance with U.S. Government export regulations, applicants must be (i) U.S. citizens or nationals, (ii) lawful permanent residents (green card holders), (iii) refugees under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylees under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or must be eligible to obtain the necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
