Role Summary:

We are seeking an electrical engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our electromagnetic launch system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with high-voltage systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems for our launch vehicle, working closely with our team of experts to ensure the successful deployment of our system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for our launch vehicle
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure successful deployment of the system
  • Work with high-voltage systems and ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Develop and test electrical systems to ensure reliability and performance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field
  • 9+ months of applied engineering experience
  • Comfortable working with high-voltages (greater than 10kV)
  • Strong comprehension of design fundamentals
  • Experience with 3D CAD software
  • Willing to work in a hands-on, constantly evolving environment
  • Detail-oriented and capable of effectively prioritizing and executing tasks
  • Experience programming and using an FPGA
  • Experience with Altium Designer (or similar)
  • Experience with electric motor control
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of applied electrical engineering experience
  • Ph.D. in electrical engineering or equivalent field
