Role Summary

We are seeking an electrical engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our electromagnetic space launch system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power electronics and electric machines, as well as experience in programming and using Microcontrollers/FPGAs.

The successful candidate will thrive in a start-up environment and be excited to work with a small, high-performing, and hands-on team.

Basic Qualifications
  • Recently obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent field of study)
  • Fundamental knowledge of power electronics and electric machines
  • Experience in programming and using Microcontrollers/FPGAs
  • Strong comprehension of design fundamentals
  • Able to start working immediately
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on, constantly evolving environment
  • Detail-oriented and capable of effectively prioritizing and executing tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
  • MS with relevant coursework in power electronics, control systems, and electric machines
  • Applied engineering experience in power electronics (firmware and hardware)
  • Relevant experience (such as internships, laboratory work, or personal/team projects)
  • Significant experience with programming and using Microcontrollers/FPGAs
  • Experience with programming induction, brushless, and reluctance electric motor control as well as programming inverters and DC converters
  • Clear understanding of real-time control, A/D conversion time, and resolution and instruction time execution
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer (or similar software)
