Key Responsibilities- Provide coaching and mentoring to a team of underwriters to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Develop and implement underwriting and rate strategies to drive profitable growth and improve commercial viability.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for service improvement and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority levels, ensuring accurate and timely decision-making.
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents and brokers) to support business retention and new business, and work with customers and distributors to determine their insurance-related needs and provide solutions.
- Support the organization's sales culture by being a trusted advisor for agents, brokers, and customers.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and strong technical underwriting skills.
- Ability to manage and build rapport with team members, and excellent organizational, written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of the insurance industry and legal and regulatory guidelines.
- 6 months or more of supervisory or management experience, and established Producer relationships.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Advanced knowledge of line/s of business, and ability to manage and build rapport with team members.
- Excellent organizational, written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of the insurance industry and legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Established Producer relationships, and strong presentation skills.
Compensation for roles at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. For additional information about our Total Rewards, please click here. Other rewards may include short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases.
