Job Summary

This position is located at the Cass Lake, Minnesota Service Unit.

The incumbent of this position performs a variety of financial management duties, utilizing financial principles and procedures in carrying out assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and analyze changes in financial policies, regulations, constraints, objectives, and available funds that affect the accomplishment of organizational objectives.
  • Directly supervise and plan work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepare schedules for completion of work.
  • Analyze financial program data to develop annual multi-year budget estimates for assigned programs and activities.
  • Research and compile information and data for a variety of regular and special reports.
  • Gather and prepare special financial materials as requested by senior staff.
  • Work to improve or develop financial management systems and related policies, goals, and objectives for programs.
Requirements
  • Must pass pre-employment examination.
  • Selectee may be subject to a probationary/trial period.
  • ESEP appointees typically serve a two-year trial period.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • This is a designated position covered by Public Law, requiring contact or control over Indian children.
  • A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required upon selection/placement.
  • Measles and Rubella immunization required for selectees born after 1957 and seasonal influenza immunization is required for all staff working in Indian Health Service health care facilities.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required for all selectees prior to entrance on duty.
  • Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
