Role Summary:

We are in search of an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to fulfill the role of Youth Tech Program Support Staff. This position is essential for the effective delivery of our programs, aiding our team in providing meaningful and engaging technology education to young participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of technology education initiatives for youth, including workshops, camps, and after-school programs.
  • Offer hands-on support and mentorship to participants during various technology-related activities and projects.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators to create curriculum and lesson plans that reflect our organization’s mission and objectives.
  • Ensure a safe and encouraging learning environment for all participants while upholding program regulations and guidelines.
  • Set up and maintain technology equipment and materials, ensuring they are functional and well-organized.
  • Contribute to program assessments and provide insights on potential improvements to enhance participant engagement and outcomes.
  • Support outreach efforts to recruit program participants and assist with community engagement activities.
  • Assist with administrative duties, including data entry, attendance management, and program registration.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college education or relevant experience in technology education is preferred.
  • Familiarity with various technology tools and platforms, including coding, robotics, graphic design, and video production.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with youth and their families.
  • A strong passion for working with young people and empowering them through technology.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • A positive attitude, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working with a diverse team.
  • Previous experience working with youth in educational or recreational settings is advantageous.
