Court Overview:

The California Eastern District Court is seeking a full-time term law clerk to support two U.S. Magistrate Judges in our Sacramento office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete research and writing on civil litigation and Social Security appeals
  • Substantively review pleadings and draft orders on matters pending before both judges

Work Environment:

The selected candidate will work in our Sacramento courthouse on a regular and recurring basis. Occasional telework may be available subject to approval by the supervising judges.

Term of Appointment:

The initial term of appointment will be set for up to two years and will be subject to possible extension for up to two additional years.
