Position Title: Security Officer II - Part-Time - Mobile

Overview: The Security Officer II role is a vital position within the security and protective services sector. Officers in this category typically deliver security services with limited oversight from a Lead Security Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain communication with supervisors regarding unusual incidents and significant events as outlined in established protocols.
  • Monitor alarms, radio communications, and other information channels, dispatching or notifying others as required.
  • Respond to and manage fire alarms, burglary alarms, and requests for assistance, addressing incidents such as vandalism, theft, and suspicious activities.
  • Conduct inspections of vehicles and individuals entering or exiting the premises as per established guidelines.
  • Prevent unauthorized items from being brought onto or removed from the facility.
  • Escort individuals or vehicles in accordance with security protocols.
  • Utilize communication devices in compliance with established procedures.
  • Oversee all company and client equipment, safeguarding against loss or damage, and report any incidents immediately.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections of buildings and facilities.
  • Issue vehicle passes to authorized personnel.
  • Monitor electronic access controls and report any violations.
  • Respond to alarms indicating unauthorized removal of property.
  • Grant access to restricted areas during non-working hours to authorized personnel.
  • Monitor facility equipment and report any deficiencies.
  • Perform random surveillance to detect unauthorized activities.
  • Provide additional security support for scheduled events or emergencies as directed.
  • Maintain accurate logs and administrative documents as required.
  • Collaborate with local, state, or federal law enforcement as necessary.

Supervision: This position operates strictly within the established guidelines for the assigned site. Any deviations must be reported to a supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in security or civilian law enforcement, or equivalent military experience.
  • Certifications: State Armed Security Guard license required; must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Language: Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Experience with firearms preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.

Core Competencies: Effective communication, self-motivation, teamwork, organization, time management, and flexibility.

Physical Demands: The role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Schedule: Rotating shifts as required by contract, including nights and weekends.
