Central Sterile Supply Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Central Sterile Supply Technician to join our team at Temecula Valley Hospital. As a key member of our sterile processing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of medical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform quality control checks on instruments and equipment to ensure they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility.
- Accurately maintain and issue sterile or clean supplies to nursing units as needed.
- Understand and demonstrate the difference in flashing techniques to ensure proper sterilization.
- Decontaminate, assemble, and wrap instruments and trays for sterilization, as well as assemble a wide variety of instrument sets.
- Keep accurate records of missing instruments and sign instrument set lists according to protocol.
- Utilize surgeon preference cards when setting up trays and prioritize instrumentation needs based on the surgery schedule.
- One year of experience in a surgical department in an acute care facility, or completion of formal training in the field.
- Sterile Processing certification or National Surgical Technician certification.
- Current BLS obtained through AHA (American Heart Association).
