Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the overall preparation and analysis of financial statements (balance sheet and income statement) for the US Division, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting data within various reporting tools.
  • Execute required controls to ensure financial reporting meets completion, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
  • Support Accounting Manager and Manager of Financial Reporting and Financial Systems with financial reporting-related requests from external auditors.
  • Support accurate and reliable budget and forecast financial statements by coordinating day-to-day activities in financial planning and reporting.
  • Support business users on finance tools, providing guidance and follow-up on timely resolution.
  • Coordinate and consolidate the monthly, quarterly, and annual submission of schedules and variance analysis reporting for all Swedish Match Legal entities for the US market.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. Some public accounting experience and/or CPA desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with focus on financial reporting and analysis is required.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems required.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills, to be able to adhere to tight deadlines with strong attention to details.
  • Leadership and process-related capabilities (i.e., engagement, pro-activity, agility, solution orientation).
  • Prior experience in Accounting, Budget & Reporting, Business Planning, and/or Operations Finance is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and SOX controls.
  • Advanced level of Excel.
  • Autonomy and independent person and flexible to work in a collaborative environment within the team.
