Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Analyst to join our team at Markel. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing management with accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis to support tactical and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute weekly cash management reports to ensure accurate forecasting and cash flow management.
  • Maintain bank connectivity and records to ensure data integrity and completeness of balance and transaction information.
  • Produce monthly cash flow forecasts to support investment management allocations and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for fee reduction to optimize expense management.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant technology and treasury products to improve process efficiencies and minimize costs.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to resolve issues and support achievement of business goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent business discipline.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with Oracle Financial Cloud applications preferred.
  • High degree of flexibility and responsiveness to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
