Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fair Housing Test Coordinator to join our team at the Fair Housing Center of Northern Alabama. As a Fair Housing Test Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our community is free from housing discrimination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and train volunteers to serve as fact-finders (testers) to identify and report instances of housing discrimination.
  • Develop and implement strategies to select test sites and develop test plans to ensure effective and efficient testing.
  • Collaborate with community partners to promote the importance of fair housing and the role of volunteers in ensuring compliance.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders, responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of testing activities, including volunteer recruitment and training, test site selection, and test results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, community development, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
