Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide administrative support to Professor Thalia Wheatley and the Consortium for Interacting Minds (CIM). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multi-year internal-use research budgets, tracking expenses, and monitoring pay and reimbursements for students and staff. Additionally, they will assist with drafting funding applications and required reports, coordinate reimbursements, and serve as an initial point of contact for students affiliated with the consortium.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multi-year internal-use research budgets, including tracking Dartmouth and outside funder policies, requirements, and schedules
  • Track expenses and monitor pay and reimbursements for students and staff
  • Assist with drafting funding applications and required reports
  • Coordinate reimbursements (receipts, reports submissions, tracking)
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for students affiliated with the consortium
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years administrative experience
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word/Google Docs and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with budget management and financial tracking
  • Knowledge of research funding policies and procedures
  • Ability to acquire new technical skills and implement new procedures
