Job Summary

Piedmont Community College is seeking a highly skilled Accessibility Services Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for coordinating services for students with accessibility needs, providing academic and career advising, and promoting disability awareness throughout the college community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all services related to students with accessibility needs, including assistive technology, interpreters, readers, and note-takers.
  • Collect and review disability assessment documentations for students with disabilities and provide recommendations for academic accommodations.
  • Train faculty on the use of special equipment and software needed for student accommodations.
  • Communicate accessibility needs to faculty and ensure college compliance with ADA, state, and federal laws.
  • Provide academic or career advising to students and promote disability awareness through programming and training.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Special Education, or related area.
  • Two years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
