Risk Management Coordinator Job Overview

The Risk Management Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the administration of the risk management framework within the organization. This position is dedicated to enhancing patient safety and ensuring compliance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support leadership in the execution of the risk management strategy, including data analysis and the promotion of patient safety initiatives.
  • Facilitate educational programs related to risk management and verify adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Organize and coordinate internal mock assessments to assist in meeting compliance requirements.
  • Serve as a backup for the Infection Control Coordinator when necessary.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to agenda preparation and minute-taking.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality and risk management is essential.
  • Preferred certifications include Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and/or Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM).
  • An active RN license is mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are vital for this role.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary to navigate complex situations.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and familiarity with regulatory standards is expected.
