We are seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at UW Health. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in microscopically screening patient samples to detect cancerous or noncancerous conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform microscopic screening of gynecologic, non-gynecologic, and Fine Needle Aspirate (FNA) slide preparations for the detection of precancerous and cancerous conditions.
  • Make independent diagnostic evaluations during microscopic screening of gynecological and non-gynecological smears and cell blocks.
  • Assist at Fine Needle Aspirate procedures by reviewing patient clinical history, completing requisition forms, preparing and staining slides.
  • Retrieve all appropriate quality control data from the laboratory information system.
  • Establish and maintain an inventory and ordering system for all supplies.
  • Receive and accession cytology specimens.
