Carpenter - IHC Construction Companies

We are seeking a qualified Carpenter to join our team at IHC Construction Companies in the Southeast region. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to construction, including building, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities- Perform carpentry work, including building, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine the type of materials and tools required for each project.
- Operate power tools, such as saws, drills, and sanders, to cut, shape, and finish wood and other materials.
- Measure and mark wood and other materials to ensure accurate cuts and installations.
- Install and repair doors, windows, and other fixtures.
- Work at heights of 50 feet above grade on elevated platforms or booms.
- Lift, hoist, and load building materials, sheet goods, plywood, and lumber during installation, forming, and removal.
- Operate leveling systems, lasers, transoms, site levels, and hand levels to determine plumb, level, and square.
- Lift materials and tools ranging from lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Knowledge of plan reading, steel and wood framing, doors and hardware, sheathing and drywall, concrete forming, form assembly, and concrete placement.
- Ability to work at heights of 50 feet above grade on elevated platforms or booms.
- Ability to lift, hoist, and load building materials, sheet goods, plywood, and lumber during installation, forming, and removal.
- Ability to operate power tools, such as saws, drills, and sanders.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
This position requires the ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings. The candidate must be able to work at heights of 50 feet above grade on elevated platforms or booms and be able to lift, hoist, and load building materials, sheet goods, plywood, and lumber during installation, forming, and removal. The candidate must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
