Position Title: Food Runner
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Job Overview:
The Food Runner serves as a critical link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring that all orders are delivered promptly and accurately. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of service and satisfaction for both Members and Guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the efficient transfer of food from the kitchen to the dining room, ensuring order accuracy and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with various Club Departments to enhance Member and Guest experiences.
- Exhibit the Three Steps of Service consistently to deliver exceptional service.
- Report directly to the FB Director/Service Director, with additional support to Captains, Servers, and Chef.
Daily Duties:
- Uphold ClubCorp service standards as outlined in the FB Service training program.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to orders, including any special requests.
- Maintain presentation standards for all plates, including garnishes and cleanliness.
- Verify that all accompanying items, such as sauces, match order specifications.
- Restock necessary items in the service area to support the service team.
- Prepare trays with orders assigned to specific seats.
- Assist in clearing and resetting tables efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of designated work areas.
- Support service and banquet staff as required.
- Engage with Members and Guests professionally, addressing any changes or last-minute requests.
Additional Responsibilities:
Due to the dynamic nature of the business, flexibility in performing various tasks is essential. All team members are expected to assist one another as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the team.
Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, manage multiple tasks, and maintain an efficient pace to meet business demands.
Commit to safe working practices and encourage a culture of safety among colleagues.
Participate in daily team meetings and adhere to uniform standards.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions are essential. Comfort in both indoor and occasional outdoor environments is required.
