Position Overview
Key Responsibilities:
As a Line Cook Supervisor, you will report directly to the Executive Chef and your main responsibilities will include:
- Delivering consistently high-quality, professional, and friendly service.
- Adjusting recipes and preparation methods based on operational needs.
- Ensuring proper storage, rotation, and maintenance of all food products.
- Assisting with various tasks as assigned by the Executive Chef.
- Monitoring quality and quantity of food across all stations, providing guidance to team members to rectify any issues.
- Supporting other kitchen stations during busy periods, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of all kitchen operations.
- Maintaining organized workspaces and overseeing shared areas, including delivery and temperature logs.
- Exhibiting excellent communication skills and fostering a professional environment.
- Providing assistance to other culinary departments as required.
- Supervising and training cooks, ensuring clarity in direction and expectations.
- Inspiring and motivating the kitchen team to achieve excellence.
- Completing all tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to work across various kitchen areas.
- Taking initiative in leadership roles without prompting.
- Delegating tasks effectively and following up on their completion.
- Exhibiting self-motivation and the ability to work independently while guiding others.
- Prior experience in a leadership role is essential, or participation in a leadership development program.
- A minimum of three years' experience in a high-volume luxury hotel or similar environment.
- Ability to manage all kitchen operations in the absence of a Sous Chef.
- Experience in expediting service and ensuring quality control of all dishes.
- Proficient in leading cooks in the preparation and presentation of menu items.
- Skilled in butchering meat, fish, and poultry.
- Capability to train staff on station setup, cooking techniques, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Constant standing and walking throughout shifts.
