Body Fit Plus Inc is hiring for a Licensed Psychiatric Technician position in a correctional facility in San Diego, California.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for clients.
  • Work with the service coordinator in developing service plans for the client.
  • Follow protocols regarding medication administration and treatments per physicians' orders.
  • Notify physicians of all incidents, changes in condition, and need for evaluation of all medications or other treatment in a timely manner.
  • Communicate clearly and directly with staff and assist them as needed in performing all aspects of their job.
  • Act as a liaison with the physician, client, and all members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Complete incident reports, medication error reports, and drug reaction reports in a timely manner per protocol.
Requirements
  • LPT Licensed Psychiatric Technician
  • Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institution.
  • Clinical competencies must be current
  • Valid Photo ID Driver's License or Passport (Required)
  • Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association
  • Possess a current and valid license issued by the California State Board of LPT license (Required)
