Job Summary

As a Licensed Psychiatric Technician at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, you will play a vital role in providing individualized nursing care to patients and families under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practitioner. Your responsibilities will include practicing basic assessment skills, collecting data, participating in planning, executing interventions in accordance with the plan of care, and contributing to the evaluation of outcomes. You will also assist the team with educating and communicating the plan of care to patients and families.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent
  • One year of experience
  • Licensed Psychiatric Technician or Licensed Vocational Nurse (California)
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree
  • Three years of experience
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Previous acute care Medical/Psych experience

The current salary range for this position is $27.45 to $38.75. A candidate's placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
