Our Norfolk, VA office is seeking an entry-level Engineer focused on Structural Engineering with a keen interest in marine and waterfront projects.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will engage in the planning and design of various waterfront structures, including:

  • Marinas
  • Ports and terminals
  • Vessel mooring and berthing structures
  • Bulkheads and breakwaters

The ideal applicant will possess experience in structural analysis and modeling.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis, or a Master's degree in Structural Engineering without prior industry experience. EIT certification is preferred.

We seek individuals with a strong interest in marine and waterfront structural design, particularly related to:

  • Ports
  • Marinas
  • Vessel mooring and berthing
  • Breakwater and shore protection structures

Preferred Skills:
Experience with the following software is advantageous:

  • SAP2000 or STAAD
  • LPile
  • MicroStation
  • AutoCAD or Revit

Working Conditions:
This role is primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork required.

Physical Requirements:
While most tasks are office-oriented, site visits may necessitate navigating various terrains while carrying equipment. Some travel to project sites may also be required.
